Can't Think READ
Daily Experiences aka Blog #4

So schools been out for about 5 days now. I still haven’t gotten the feeling of “wow high school is really over, here comes college”. Maybe that will come after my graduation ceremony.

These couple of days for me have been full of running errands and getting college stuff ready. Besides spending time with my family and occasionally my boyfriend I haven’t had to many outtings.(so there’s not too much to explain or describe) No complaints here because I have a lot to get done. Plus I don’t think I’ll be working this summer so there will be time for fun.

I hope my class continues to update their Tumblrs because we all have some funny ways of expressing ourselves and I would like to stay in touch with you all. Yes I will be making a facebook soon seeing how people insist I connect with them that way. :)

There’s not much more to say other than I hope to see everyone again at graduation May 2:30.

Until Next Time,

Weekend Wedding News
Weddings are an eventful, personal, intimate moment shared by the couple and family.Time, money, and lots of detailed planning make this day one you will never forget. What happens when a wedding takes place but its not what you would have expected?
Student 1(Friend): So what did you do last night? Why did you get home so late?
Student 2 (Friend who attended the wedding) : I went to a wedding outside of Austin.
Student 1: Aww was it nice? Was that your girlfriend's brother's wedding?
Student 2: Yeah it was Ok and yeah it was.
Student 1: Ohh that's good. What did you all eat?
Student 2: Bar-B-Q
Student 1: Ooo did Rudy's cater it?
Student 2: No, family friend.
Student 1: I'm sure it was good. Wasn't it?
Student 2: Yeah it was really good.
Student 1: So where are they going for their honeymoon?
Student 2: Umm? I don't know.
Student 1: What does that mean?
Student 2: I don't think they have any funds because at the wedding they had pickle jars and they had HONEYMOON Fund written on them. They looked fairly empty.
Student 1: (Speechless)
2 minutes Later...
Student 1: I'm sure the service was nice.
Student 2: Yeah it was nice. Nice and short.
Student 1: I'm sure the bride looked nice?
Student 2: She looked like a dang RACCOON!
Student 1: WHY ?!
Student 2: She had too much dang make-up on. Her dress was white.
Student 1: (Was about to speak but was interrupted by student 2)
Student 2: Yeah!
She lied.
Student 1: Well was the dress at least pretty?!
Student 2: Yeah except for she was spilling over at the top of her dress!
Student 1: No comment...
Student 2: You know what was interesting about this whole event?
Student 1: No what could that possibly be?
Student 2: Well first the dinner came before the ceremony, they both already have children from there previous Hook Ups, the groom wore jeans with a button up shirt and when the bridesmaids walked into the reception room they were all out of order! Last thing the groom had a mo hawk!
Student 1: (Speechless)
Student 1: This sounds like a red neck wedding.
Student 2: Correction this was nothing close to a red neck wedding. It was a rock like wedding.
Quick interjection by the typist: Student 2 is a Caucasian male and is taking offense to this statement. Student one is a black male but disowns his race and prefers to be considered Pacific Islander or anything else.
Now back to the chat..
Student 1: Well who caught the bouquet?
Student 2: My girlfriend.
Student 1: So I guess you'll be next, someday.
Student 2: My wedding is going to be a wedding. (Enough said.)

I think the best couples are those you never expected to see together. The ones you felt had nothing in common and were complete opposites. Couples like this equal you and me.

Daily Experiences aka My Blog #3

May 16, 2010. I haven’t written much about what has been going on with me because finals are this coming week and I’ve been helping my boyfriend blog about his life, which I can say I have fun doing. I like to write so its no problem.

Last Thursday I met an older gentleman in my neighborhood around 69 years old.(No he’s not creepy) His name is Anthony Barron. I met him when I was out messing with my basketball. We began talking after he saw me struggling. He politely introduced himself and asked if I wouldn’t mind him showing me some pointers. He told me he played college basketball and worked as a coach. Today he coaches the little boys in my neighborhood. I then excepted his offer and he began to share with me his skills and taught me the fundamentals of basketball. Many of you who know me know that I don’t play basketball on a regular bases or at all but after learning from this guy and actually picking up quickly what he taught me, I’m starting to like this sport. I only like things I can get. :)

The next day, Friday, I ran into this older gentleman again and I practiced what he taught me. Later that evening some other youth of the community came by. He told me he wanted to try and play a game. He mentioned he hadn’t played for years due to his age and back problems. I did comment to him that I wanted to major in kinesiology. (the study of the movement of the body) I can use this major to become a physical therapist. Still I don’t know what I will definitely major in on account of I changer my major 24-7. Ask my bf he knows. :)

Anyway, that evening we split into teams of three and Mr. Barron played with us. He was on my team along with some other girl who’s on a basketball team. The other team was made up of two Senior guys and girl. Now I don’t remember the exact score. All I know is that Mr. Barron whooped on the other team. Of course with my inexperience I made a couple of points but overall Mr. Barron ran circles (figure of speech) around the other guys. That day was a lot of fun.

This Saturday I went out with one of my sisters and younger brother to the movie theatre. We watched Robin Hood ( about 2 hr 30min movie) Its worth watching. Russel Crowe did as good as in his other movie Gladiator.

My Senior year is finally winding down. I have 5 days left of school. After that I will have a week until my graduation. I will be attending UTSA in the fall. (if God allows) I hope things go well and I’m able to get done what I need to in order to do what I love.

 Until Next Time,

About the Link I Posted…

Beginning this blog was a class assignment. A part of my assignment that I have left out was adding a link and video. I contemplated what video to put up or what link I should share with you all. I finally found one that is titled Bringing Big Band Jazz Back to the Theater District.  Some of you may not know but I love old school movies. Movies that encompass the era of the 1920’s- the 1950’s or just the 1900’s in general. Big Band music, jazz and swing was the music of this time. As a result, I have grown to admire many artist such as: Ella and Duke Ellington, Scott Joplin, Buddy Bolden, ect. Check out this New York Times article written a while back. It will give you a feel for the music of the 1900’s that is still played today in New York.

Daily Experiences aka My Blog #2

Monday is usually a day many people stress over and grow frustrated about because they see before them a full schedule that will last for the rest of the week. My Monday was Ok. School was hot and somewhat humid as usual. My boyfriend did not come today and another lunch buddy either. The hours drug on as my days of attending Palo Alto College for dual credit are now over:).

Taking classes at Palo Alto my senior year was a good experience. I learned a lot of does and don’ts. Today precisely I anxiously looked up my final exam scores. I didn’t find the exact scores but I did receive a letter grade for each class. What I discovered I can honestly say I did not expect. I didn’t expect to do as I did in my two classes. Very quick, for those of you who know me I was concerned about my government class. I felt I wasn’t going to do so well because of… But anyway I received a B+! Yes its not an expected A+ but honestly I expected a C. Unfortunately for my English class I felt I was going to be fine. I thought ” I should get a B or maybe even an A.” I didn’t do as I thought. I received a dreaded C. Goes to show me I can’t rely on OK work. I have to give it my all.

Besides this news two other not so good incidents happened to me today.

1) I spilled a full glass of water in my living room, again. This is now twice in one week! I can honestly say my boyfriend and I have one more thing in common when it comes to how often we spill drinks.

2) As I was going about my day after school I walked around my house barefoot. I stepped on a stapler. Ouch! I’ll emphasis this was no small stapler. Let me take you back in time as I mentioned yesterday in my blog that I helped my mother unwrap her furniture and carry it around. So I repeat this was no ordinary stapler. I stepped on a big heavy duty stapler. Extremely painful! Might I add I usually go for a run but after this incident I won’t be for a while. :(

Overall today was an OK day :)

Last thing two weeks left of school!(14 days)

Until next time,
